... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 3 PM MST this
afternoon...

* impacts... light snowfall with blowing and drifting snow will
accumulate on roadways and may reduce visibility, making travel
difficult.

* Timing... light snow should end by 3 PM today.

* Snow accumulations... this is in addition to what has already
accumulated... one half to 2 inches of snowfall before 3 PM. The
heavier snow is expected in locations along the Snake River.

* Confidence... moderate.

* Locations... Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Mud Lake, Atomic City and
Craters of the Moon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and
water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
