The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for moderate to heavy snow along with blowing
snow, which is in effect from noon today to noon MST Monday.

* Impacts... moderate to heavy snowfall with blowing and drifting
snow will accumulate on roadways and may reduce visibility,
making travel difficult. Mountain passes may become difficult
to travel.

* Timing... noon today through noon Monday.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 6 in valleys and 6 to 10 inches in the
mountains.

* Confidence... high confidence on timing and amounts for the first
round today. Low confidence for additional snow on Monday.

* Locations... Stanley, Galena Summit, Clayton, Hailey, Ketchum,
and Bellevue

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of moderate
to heavy snow along with blowing snow will cause travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited

an ice jam in...
northern Custer County in central Idaho...

* until 1000 am MST Monday

* blm personnel advise of an ice jam on the Salmon river causing the
closure of the Challis bridge recreation site until water recedes.

* Local law enforcement has closed this area and wishes to remind
residents to avoid any flooded areas.
