The National Weather Service in Pocatello has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
rain and snowmelt in...
Bannock County in southeastern Idaho...
Power County in southeastern Idaho...
Bingham County in southeastern Idaho...

* until 1215 PM MST Tuesday

* additional rain on snow and saturated ground will create some
localized areas of additional low-lying flooding this afternoon
through the evening. Around 930 am law enforcement in Bingham
County report flooding over roadways near 900 west and near 500
north.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pocatello, Blackfoot, American Falls, McCammon, Lava Hot Springs,
Swanlake, American Falls Reservoir, Neeley, Goshen, Chubbuck,
Shelley, Aberdeen, Inkom, Downey, Firth, Arimo, Rockland, rose,
Fort Hall Bannock creek Lodge and Pingree.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Portneuf River at Pocatello.
* From Tuesday morning to Friday afternoon... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 9:45 am Monday the stage was 7.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact... at 9.1 feet... flooding of low lying agricultural land and
pasture will occur in the Inkom and Blackrock area. Lowland
flooding is likely along sections of the river between Portneuf gap
and the Cheyenne Avenue bridge in Pocatello.

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a
* Flood Watch for
the Portneuf River at Pocatello
* from Tuesday morning to Friday evening.
* At 8:45 am Sunday the stage was 7.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Forecast... flood stage may be reached by Tuesday morning.

... Wind Advisory in effect until 8 PM MST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 8 PM MST Tuesday.

* Impacts/timing... gusty winds likely into this evening. Winds
could diminish late this evening before ramping up again
overnight tonight and Tuesday morning. Strong cross winds are
possible from south and southwest winds. High profile vehicles
driving on east-west roads will have difficult driving
conditions.

* Winds... south winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 45 mph tonight,
winds will shift to the southwest on Tuesday with gusts to 50
mph possible Tuesday afternoon.

* Locations... Burley, American Falls, Pocatello, Chubbuck, Fort
Hall reservation, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Idaho National labs,
Rexburg, ribgy, Mud Lake.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Gusts
over 45 mph are possible. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
