Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 8:55 PM MST Feb. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 5 am Thursday to
11 am MST Friday...

* timing... snow will increase overnight with snow heavy at times
Thursday into Thursday evening before gradually decreasing into
Friday morning.

* Snowfall accumulation... 5 to 9 inches with the heavier amounts
generally in the south half of the County.

* Wind and visibility... north 25 to 35 mph with gusts around 50
mph causing considerable blowing and drifting snow and near
zero visibility at times.

* Main impact... roads will become slick and snow covered. Strong
north wind will cause blowing and drifting snow Thursday. The
visibility will become significantly reduced in blowing snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, and or
blowing snow are expected or occurring. This could make travel
very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel keep some food,
water, and an extra flashlight in your vehicle in case of an
