Issued: 5:22 PM MDT Jul. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* flood advisory for...
east central Campbell County in northeastern Wyoming...
southern Crook County in northeastern Wyoming...

* until 815 PM MDT

* at 519 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain at
exit 165 on Interstate 90 in Wyoming due to thunderstorms. This
will cause minor flooding as some creeks were out of their banks.
Up to two inches of rain fell based on radar estimates and
automated rain gages.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Moorcroft, Pine Haven, Moskee, Inyan Kara Mountain and Keyhole
Reservoir.

Additional rainfall of less than 1/2 inch is expected.

This includes Interstate 90 in Wyoming between mile markers 143 and

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.
