Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:11 PM MDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
midnight MDT Friday night...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
from 6 PM this evening to midnight MDT Friday night.

* Timing... rain will change to snow this evening, with periods of
moderate snow at times through Friday evening.

* Total snow accumulations... 4 to 6 inches over the valleys and
foothills, with 6 to 8 inches over the central and southern
Laramie range.

* Winds/visibility... west to northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with
gusts to 35 mph tonight, diminishing and becoming northeast 15
to 25 mph Friday. Visibilities will be reduced to a half mile in
snow and blowing snow.

* Impacts... hazardous travel is likely due to snow covered roads
and low visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that snow
and gusty winds will create restricted visibilities and drifting
snow along area roadways. Use caution when traveling... especially
in open areas.
