Issued: 3:54 AM MDT Apr. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
6 PM MDT Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM MDT Thursday.

* Location... eastern sawatch and western Mosquito Mountain ranges
above 11000 feet.

* Cause and timing... a quick moving upper storm system will move
across the region tonight and Thursday.

* Snow accumulation... 3 to 7 inches with locally higher amounts on
west facing slopes.

* Wind... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph.

* Impact... travel will be hazardous due to blowing snow, poor
visibilities and icy or snow covered roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
