The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Arroyo and small stream flood advisory for...
south central Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
east central Brewster County in southwestern Texas...

* until 830 PM CDT

* at 523 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. One to two inches of rain has already fallen which
will cause Arroyo and small stream flooding in the advisory area,
especially along US Highway 90 between Marathon and Longfellow.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Longfellow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.
