The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 10 am this morning to 5 PM CST
this afternoon.

* Timing... strongest winds between 11am and 4pm. Winds will begin
to diminish by late afternoon.

* Winds... south at 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* Impacts... light and moderate weight items... such as patio
furniture... empty trash cans... and portable basketball
posts... may blow over. High profile or light weight vehicles will
be difficult to drive... especially on bridges or overpasses and
in Crosswinds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 39 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Craft Advisory for winds, which is in effect from 10 am this
morning to 5 PM CST this afternoon.

* Winds... south at around 20 knots.

* Bay conditions... choppy to rough waters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory for wind means that wind speeds of 20 to
33 knots are expected. Inexperienced mariners... especially those
operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these
conditions.
