... Elevated heat index values expected this afternoon along and
east of the Interstate 35 corridor...

Afternoon temperatures in the upper 90s and lower 100s will
combine with high moisture to create afternoon heat index values
in the 104 to 108 degree range for locations along and east of the
Interstate 35 corridor in south central Texas.

Please take extra precaution if you work or spend time outside
this afternoon. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing if
possible and make sure you drink plenty of water and take frequent
breaks while working outside in the heat.
