Flood Warning
Issued: 8:56 PM CDT Aug. 23, 2016 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for the Guadalupe River near Bloomington.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast: the river will continue rising to near 25.3 feet
tomorrow evening then begin falling.
* At 26.0 feet irrigation and oil well pumps, tank batteries, and
equipment in the lower flood plain below Victoria flood. Livestock
are cut off, may have to be fed by boat, and could drown. Homes
downstream above Highway 35 on the left bank are cut off.

The Flood Warning continues for the San Antonio River at Goliad.
* Until late Friday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 29.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast: the river will continue rising to near 32.9 feet by
tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage late Friday
morning.
* At 33.0 feet moderate flooding occurs. Roads, many Camp sites, RV
and temporary shelter sites in Goliad State Park flood. Hundreds of
livestock downstream in the flood plain are cut off and potentially
drown.
