southwestern Newton County in southeastern Texas...

* until 200 PM CST

* at 1203 PM CST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. 3 to 5 inches of rain has fallen over the last
6 hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Beaumont... Port Arthur... Orange... Nederland... Groves... Port
Neches... Lumberton... Vidor... Bridge City... Silsbee... West Orange...
Kountze... Sour Lake... Nome... Deweyville... Central Gardens...

following areas... in Louisiana... Allen... Beauregard...
Calcasieu... Rapides and Vernon. In southeast Texas... Hardin...
Jefferson... northern Jasper... northern Newton... Orange...
southern Jasper... southern Newton and Tyler.

* Through Monday afternoon

* 5 to 8 inches of rainfall is possible in the watch area
through Monday afternoon. Locally higher amounts are possible.

* Impacts include dangerous and potentially life threatening
flash flooding as well as elevated levels on area rivers and
streams.
