Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 5:24 PM CDT Jul. 27, 2016 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Delta County in north central Texas...
southeastern Lamar County in north central Texas...

* until 730 PM CDT

* at 523 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were
producing heavy rainfall across Delta and Lamar counties.
Excessive runoff from these thunderstorms will cause small stream
flooding. Areas that are low lying or usually experience poor
drainage are most likely to experience flooding. This means some
low water crossings in the region may become impassable. Between
one and one half inch of rain has already fallen and an additional
inch of rain will be possible over the next hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paris... Cooper... Blossom... Deport...
Cooper Lake park doctors creek... Toco and Sun Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
