Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 10:59 PM CST Feb. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a dense fog
advisory, which will be in effect until 9 am CST Tuesday.

* Event... dense fog with visibility below one half mile.

* Timing... through 9 am CST Tuesday.

* Impact... changes in visibility on area roadways in low lying
areas, near bodies of water, such as lakes and bayous, and in
short distances will make driving/traveling hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance between
other vehicles ahead of you. Be alert to bus traffic and their
frequent stops during the morning commute.
