Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:20 AM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 am Friday to midnight
CST Friday night...

The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
from 6 am Friday to midnight CST Friday night.

* Timing... rain will change to snow late Thursday night and Friday
morning with snow continuing into Friday afternoon before ending
Friday evening.

* Snow accumulations... snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are
expected with locally higher amounts in isolated locations.

* Impact... the combination of the snow and gusty winds will create
blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibilities that will
make travel hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
periods of snow with blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use extra caution while driving.
