Issued: 2:14 AM CDT Aug. 26, 2016 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1015 am CDT Friday for
eastern Greenwood... Elk and northern Chautauqua counties...

At 210 am CDT... Doppler radar continued to indicate numerous showers
and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rainfall across the warned
area. Radar estimated two to four inches of rain has already fallen.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Sedan... Howard... Moline... Longton... Hamilton... Severy... Fall River...
Elk Falls... Climax... Virgil... Fall River State Park...
Hale and Fall River Lake.

Additional rainfall amounts up to one inch are possible in the
warned area overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... highways... streets... underpasses... country
roads as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots.
