Issued: 8:42 PM CDT Apr. 30, 2017 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1130 am CDT Monday for
Cherokee... Crawford... Barton... Newton... McDonald... Barry...
Lawrence... Jasper and Dade counties...

At 841 PM CDT, the Department of Transportation reported flooding
continuing across the area. Many low water crossings remain flooded
with Road closures. Doppler radar indicated that between four and
ten inches of rainfall occurred with this storm system.

Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Highway 43 at Buffalo Creek west of Anderson...
north main and Murphy Boulevard in Joplin...
business Highway 60 just north of Neosho...
Highway 97 at the Spring River north of Stotts City...
and Highway 37 at the Spring River southwest of Avilla.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
