Issued: 10:18 PM CDT Jul. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River at Dixon.
* From Saturday evening to Friday July 28.
* At 915 PM Friday the stage was 14.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday evening and continue
to rise to near 16.7 feet by Sunday afternoon.
* Impact... at 16.5 feet... all of Page drive closed along the river.
Lower Road closed in area of boat docks in Lowell Park. Flooding of
unimproved land on Riverside Drive in White Oaks. Water over
entrance Road on Colony Road.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 9 am CDT this
morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, dupage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake
IL, McHenry, and will.

* Until 9 am CDT this morning.

* Additional rain and thunderstorms early this morning may produce
locally heavy rainfall.

* Additional heavy rainfall may exacerbate flooding already
occurring across portions of northern Illinois... producing new
rises on area rivers and creeks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
