the Rock River at Latham Park.
* From Saturday morning until further notice.
* At 930 PM Friday the stage was 9.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday morning and continue
to rise to near 13.4 feet by Wednesday evening.

the Rock River at Rockton.
* From Saturday afternoon until further notice.
* At 930 PM Friday the stage was 8.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday afternoon and
continue to rise to near 13.5 feet by Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 13.5 feet... Old River Road west of Roscoe bridge is
inundated.

the Kishwaukee river near Perryville.
* Until late Tuesday night.
* At 930 PM Friday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 17.1 feet by
Sunday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
evening.

the Pecatonica River near Shirland.
* From late tonight until further notice.
* At 1000 PM Friday the stage was 11.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Saturday and continue to
rise to near 16.3 feet by Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 15.7 feet... the Shirland Harrison Road floods.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, dupage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake
IL, McHenry, and will.

* Until 9 am CDT this morning.

* Additional rain and thunderstorms early this morning may produce
locally heavy rainfall.

* Additional heavy rainfall may exacerbate flooding already
occurring across portions of northern Illinois... producing new
rises on area rivers and creeks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
