The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
southwestern Hennepin County in east central Minnesota...
northeastern Scott County in east central Minnesota...
east central Carver County in east central Minnesota...

* until 1115 PM CDT

* at 813 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. One to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Plymouth, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Shakopee, Savage, Chaska,
Chanhassen, Prior Lake, Mound, Orono, Minnetrista and Wayzata.

Additional rainfall amounts of of an inch are possible in the warned
area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
