The Flood Warning continues for
the Trempealeau River at Dodge.
* Until late Monday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:45 am Thursday the stage was 10.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.2 feet by
Friday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... low lying roads around Dodge may flood,
including County Road p, as well as along a low spot on County Road
j south of Dodge.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Trempealeau River at Arcadia.
* Until Friday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:15 am Thursday the stage was 8.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage by Friday morning.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... minor flooding begins. A few streets are
affected by high water, and pumping operations begin.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Buffalo County in west central Wisconsin...
Trempealeau County in west central Wisconsin...

* until 230 PM CDT Thursday

* at 822 am CDT, law enforcement reported numerous roads impacted by
rising water or washouts, resulting in closures. Some homes in
Blair and Galesville have 5 to 6 feet of water in their basements.
Arcadia was also hard hit.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Winona, Arcadia, Wabasha, Whitehall, Alma, Buffalo, Trempealeau,
Galesville, Blair, Independence, Buffalo City, Fountain City,
Modena, Dodge, Ettrick, Waumandee, Cochrane and Nelson.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from Friday afternoon through
Saturday morning...

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast Iowa, southeast
Minnesota, and Wisconsin, including the following areas, in
northeast Iowa, Allamakee, Clayton, Howard, and Winneshiek. In
southeast Minnesota, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted,
Wabasha, and Winona. In Wisconsin, Adams, Buffalo, Crawford,
Grant, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland,
Trempealeau, and Vernon.

* From Friday afternoon through Saturday morning

* heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
possible.

* Impacts could include flash flooding, additional Road washouts,
rock and mud slides, and river flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
