Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 6:27 PM CST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
Tuesday...

* timing... freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet, will continue
overnight. The precipitation will gradually diminish Tuesday
morning.

* Snow and ice accumulations... a tenth of an inch of ice is
possible on trees and other elevated surfaces. Up to a quarter
inch of ice could form on untreated pavement. Air temperatures
are likely to warm a little above freezing overnight or Tuesday
morning. This will lessen the likelihood that significant a
layer of ice will develop on trees and power lines. But the
ground will be much slower to warm. As a result... ice is likely
to continue to accrue on untreated roads... sidewalks... and
parking lots into Tuesday morning.

* Impacts... the freezing rain and sleet will result in untreated
pavement becoming very slippery. Travel will be extremely
hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that mixed wintry precipitation
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. The
latest Wisconsin Road conditions can be obtained by calling 511.
