The Flood Warning continues for
the sugar river at Brodhead.
* At 8:15 PM Thursday the stage was 5.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 7.0 feet by
Saturday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
Monday evening.
* Impact... at 7.0 feet... some roads are flooded about 6 miles
downstream in Avon township of Rock County.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Pecatonica River at Martintown.
* At 8:30 PM Thursday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 15.0 feet by Sunday morning.The river will
fall below flood stage by Monday evening.
* Impact... at 16.0 feet... floodwaters are in the back yard of at
least one home in Martintown. Floodwaters affect Martintown Road
and West River Road in the Martintown area. Upstream in Browntown,
floodwaters affect Highway mm and west indies Road.

Flash Flood Watch

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from late Friday afternoon
through Saturday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin,
including the following areas, in south central Wisconsin,
Columbia, Dane, green, Iowa, Lafayette, rock, and Sauk. In
southeast Wisconsin, Jefferson, Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth.

* From late Friday afternoon through Saturday morning

* heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
possible.

* Impacts could include flooded roads and intersections, river
flooding, and possible rock and mud slides in hilly terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

Those outside, including campers and hikers, should avoid low
ground and areas along rivers and streams, where rapid water
rises could occur. Be especially cautious at night, when flash
flooding is difficult to see.
