Special Statement
Issued: 5:09 AM CDT Apr. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Elevated risk of wildfires today...

The combination of warm temperatures, low humidity and breezy
south winds will cause an elevated risk of wildfires from late
morning through the afternoon across most of southern Wisconsin.

Fires could start easily and spread quickly. Be very careful with
hot equipment near dry, grassy areas and do not throw cigarettes
out your window.

The Wisconsin department of natural resources has put all of
southern Wisconsin in the high fire danger category. Burn
restrictions may be in place so check with your local
municipality.
