... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 PM EST Friday...

Hazardous weather...

* lake effect snow showers with blowing and drifting snow will
   continue to expand in coverage and increase in intensity
   through the day. The more significant lake effect snow
   accumulations are expected from late this afternoon through
   Friday morning.

* Snow accumulations generally 5 to 8 inches by late Friday.
   Locally higher amounts are possible.

* Wind chills 10 above to 15 above zero.

Impacts...

* blowing and drifting snow will cause hazardous driving
   conditions on snow covered and slippery roads especially from
   this afternoon into Friday morning.

* Significantly reduced visibilities are expected in the
   heavier snow showers.

* The commutes this evening and Friday morning will be
   difficult.
