Hazardous weather...

* widespread dense fog will persist across the region late this
afternoon and remain in place throughout the night.

* Surface visibilities will be near zero at times.

environment will remain favorable for continued fog development
   through sunrise on Sunday.

Special Statement
Issued: 5:22 PM EST Jan. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect...

Early this evening, dense fog will be limited to areas north of
M-46. This area of fog is quite dense with visibilities near zero
at times. The clearing line that scoured out southern areas of
this fog has nearly stalled and fog is expected to once again
expand southward this evening. This process will be somewhat slow
through 7 PM, but accelerate thereafter. Motorists are urged to
drive with extra caution as poor visibilities will make travel
very hazardous at times, especially after dark.
