Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:53 PM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
6 am CST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from midnight tonight to 6 am CST Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch
is no longer in effect.

* Timing... snow is expected to begin after midnight tonight, and
continue through much of Friday before ending early Saturday
morning.

* Locations... Washburn and Bayfield counties.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches.

* Winds... north 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Visibilities... less than one half mile in the heavier snow.

* Impacts... the snow will create snow covered roads and may cause
difficult travel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas that are more exposed to the wind. Roads may be slick and
hazardous... so allow extra time to reach your destination.
