The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a

* Flood Advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for...
an ice jam in...
northern Lemhi County in east central Idaho...

* until further notice

* at 358 PM MST, National Weather Service personnel reported an ice
jam causing minor flooding of properties and a residence along the
Salmon river between the towns of North Fork and Carmen.

* This ice jam is anticipated to continue backing water up onto
adjacent land, possibly inundating additional private properties
and residences. Those living along the Salmon river between North
Fork and Carmen should prepare for additional ice jam flooding for
at least through this coming weekend.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
