The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from 1 am to 7 am PST Wednesday. A
frost advisory has also been issued. This frost advisory is in
effect from midnight tonight to 8 am PST Wednesday.

* Temperature... 25 to 35.

* Locations in the freeze warning include... Coquille... Myrtle
Point and Powers.

* Locations in the frost advisory includes Bandon... Coos
Bay... North Bend... Reedsport and areas along the coast.

* Impacts... this may be the first freeze of the fall for many coastal
valleys inland from the immediate coast.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

A frost advisory means that frost is possible. Sensitive outdoor
plants may be killed if left uncovered.

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 am PST Tuesday
above 2000 feet...
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST
Tuesday above 1500 feet...

* snow accumulations... 3 to 9 inches above 2000 feet... with 1 to
3 inches between 1500 and 2000 feet. Higher peaks may see up
to 1 foot.

* Timing... snow continue overnight through Tuesday morning. Snow
intensity is likely to peak and snow levels will be the lowest
around dawn.

* Locations included in the warning... mainly rural locations in
the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and Highway 227 from Tiller to the
Umpqua Divide.

* Locations in the advisory... all the passes along Interstate 5
between Grants Pass and Roseburg including Sexton Summit and
Canyon Creek. Highway 199 near Hayes Hill is also included.

* Other locations... while snow may fall in lower locations such
as Grants Pass and Roseburg... little to no snow accumulation
is expected due to warm surfaces. Only isolated accumulations
and impacts are expected in these locations.

* Impacts... snow will cause travel difficulties on local roads...
   including portions of Interstate 5. Higher and unplowed rural
roads may become impassable due to heavy snow.

* travel is strongly discouraged because of dangerous conditions.

* If you must travel... keep tire chains... a flashlight...
blankets... food... water... medications... and a fully
charged phone with you.
