Issued: 4:50 PM EDT Mar. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect from 8 PM this
evening to 8 am EDT Monday...

* locations... the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, southern
Vermont and the Litchfield Hills of northern Litchfield County.

* Hazard types... freezing rain.

* Ice accumulations... a few hundredths to around a tenth of an
inch, except up to a quarter inch along the eastern spine of the
southern Green Mountains.

* Timing... freezing rain will move into the region tonight, and
gradually transition to plain rain by the mid morning.

* Impacts... hazardous travel due to icy roads. Isolated power
outages are possible.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
