Fire Weather Watch
Issued: 1:40 PM PDT Jun. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Sunday afternoon
through Monday afternoon for abundant lightning on dry fuels for
fire weather zones 620 and 622...

* impacts: lightning and dry fine fuels will likely result in new
fire starts. Gusty thunderstorm winds could contribute to fire
spread. Despite rainfall, initial attack resources could be
overwhelmed and holdover fires are possible.

significant fire growth, finer fuels are dry and may ignite and
carry fire.

* Thunderstorms: isolated to scattered.

* Timing: thunderstorms will start over the mountains Sunday
afternoon and begin to drift out over the valleys Sunday evening
and night. The thunderstorm threat continues over the valleys
through Monday morning then begins to shift east Monday
afternoon.

* Affected area: in southwest or... fire weather zones 620 and 622.

* Counties affected: in southwest or... Curry... Jackson
... Josephine.
