... Freezing Rain Advisory from 8 PM this evening to 8 am EDT Monday...

* locations... western and central Massachusetts, especially the
higher terrain of the Berkshires and Worcester Hills.

* Hazard types... freezing rain.

* Accumulations... mainly a glaze of ice yet accumulations up to a
tenth of an inch are possible across higher terrain.

* Timing... late tonight into Monday morning.

* Impacts... untreated surfaces may become slippery, especially
those that are elevated and exposed to the elements, leading to
hazardous travel during the Monday morning commute. Greater
concern is along the Route 2 and I 91 corridors in northwestern
Massachusetts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
