... Freezing Rain Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 8 am
EDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Freezing
Rain Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 8 am
EDT Monday.

* Locations... higher terrain of central and western
Massachusetts.

* Hazard types... freezing rain.

* Accumulations... less than one tenth of an inch.

* Timing... late tonight into Monday morning.

* Impacts... untreated surfaces may become slippery, leading to
travel difficulties during the early portion of the Monday
morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.

A brief period of sleet and freezing rain is possible during
Sunday morning.

Light precipitation mainly over New York and Pennsylvania may
extend east into parts of western and central Massachusetts and
northern Connecticut. Temperatures in these areas will start the
morning below freezing, then warm above freezing by midday. Any
precipitation after that time should be light rain. The areas most
at risk for sleet or freezing rain will be across the higher
terrain.

If you plan to travel in this area Sunday morning, allow extra
time and plan to travel more slowly than usual.
