... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 am
MDT Friday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from
9 PM this evening to 9 am MDT Friday. The Winter Storm Watch is no
longer in effect.

* Timing... 9 PM MDT Thursday through 9 am MDT Friday.

* Total snow accumulations... 3 to 7 inches with locally higher
amounts possible.

* Winds/visibility... north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to
45 mph. Visibilities may be reduced to one quarter of a mile
at times in falling and blowing snow.

* Impacts... dangerous travel with icy, snow packed roads and low
visibility in falling and blowing snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
