... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 am MDT
Thursday...

* affected area... the Wasatch and western Uinta Mountains, the
Wasatch Plateau and Book Cliffs, along with the central and
southern mountains of Utah.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 10 inches above 8000 feet with locally
higher amounts possible in areas favored by northwest flow.
Mountain locations below 8000 feet can expect 2 to 6 inches of
accumulation.

* Timing... snow will become widespread overnight, with locally
heavy snows through Thursday morning.

* Snow levels... near 8500 feet this evening, lowering to all
mountain elevations by late tonight.

* Impacts... winter driving conditions can be expected along all
high elevation routes, with the greatest travel impacts Thursday
morning. Periods of slush are possible Thursday morning below
8000 feet along area roads, including Parleys Summit, Daniels
Summit and Sardine Summit, as well as the higher passes along
I-15.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snow accumulations
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads. Use caution while driving.
