Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 7:57 PM EDT Jul. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 930 PM EDT for
southeastern Dauphin and Lebanon counties...

At 751 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported widespread flash
flooding around all of southern Dauphin County, specifically in
Middletown. The heavy rain has tapered off and it should be dry over
the next few hours. Expect the current flooding to get briefly
worse, but the water should begin to recede later this evening.

However, additional heavy rain may develop later tonight.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Myerstown, Hummelstown, Palmyra, Annville, Middletown, Steelton,
Hershey, Lebanon, Cornwall and Colonial Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
