* flood advisory for...
northwestern Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...
George County in southeastern Mississippi...
southern Perry County in southeastern Mississippi...
southern Greene County in southeastern Mississippi...
Stone County in southeastern Mississippi...

* until 1000 am CDT

* at 659 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Between two and three inches of rain has already fallen in
isolated locations of the warned area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wiggins, Lucedale, Perkinston, McHenry, McLain and Wilmer.

Additional rainfall of two inches is expected over portions of the
warned area through 10 am CDT. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Alabama and southeast Mississippi,
including the following areas, in southwest Alabama, Baldwin
central, Baldwin coastal, Baldwin inland, Mobile central,
Mobile coastal, and Mobile inland. In southeast Mississippi,
George and stone.

* Through this evening

* one to three inches of rainfall through early evening with
locally higher amounts.

* Impacts include, localized flash flooding from heavy rainfall
and rapid rises in smaller creeks and streams.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding.

Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should
flash flood warnings be issued.

* at 554 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Midtown Mobile, downtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner,
Saraland, Theodore, Chickasaw, Chunchula, Gulfcrest, Semmes, Tanner
Williams, i65 and i165, Mobile regional Airport, Wilmer, i65 and al
158 and i10 and i65.

Additional rainfall of two inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.
