Issued: 8:18 AM CDT Jul. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southwestern Baldwin County in southwestern Alabama...

* until 1115 am CDT

* at 815 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
producing very heavy rain over the advisory area. Up to 2 inches
of rain has fallen so far. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall
will result in ponding of water on area roadways and minor
flooding of low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gulf Shores, Foley, Orange Beach, Bon Secour and Fort Morgan.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
