The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Winter

from 6 PM this evening to 8 PM MST Tuesday.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches. Locally up to 10 inches
across the high peaks near the Moreno Valley.

* Timing... intensify tonight and last into Tuesday before
diminishing early Tuesday evening.

* Winds... west to southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to to 45
mph tonight becoming westerly 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph
on Tuesday.

* Snow levels... mix of rain and snow will initially impact the
upper Rio Grande Valley but temperatures will be cold enough
for snow at all locations after midnight tonight.

* Local impacts... roads will become snow covered and icy at
times especially on bridges and overpasses. Sudden reductions
in visibility due to the snow and blowing snow can be
expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
