The National Weather Service in Memphis TN has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Saint Francis river near Saint Francis
* from Thursday April 27 until Friday April 28.
* At 08 PM Wednesday the stage was... 18.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 22.5 feet Friday April 28.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Thursday April 27 and
continue to rise to near 22.5 feet by Friday April 28. The river
is expected to fall below flood stage late Friday April 28.
At 23.0 feet, most low land inside the levee system is flooded..

evening...

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east Arkansas, southeast
Missouri, and west Tennessee, including the following areas,
in east Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, cross, Greene,
Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, Randolph, and
St. Francis. In southeast Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In
west Tennessee, Dyer, Lake, and Obion.

* From Friday evening through Sunday evening

* several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to
produce between 3-7 inches across the watch area with locally
higher amounts especially across northeast Arkansas through
Sunday evening.


* Recent rainfall has saturated soils across the watch area. Any
additional heavy rainfall may result in the potential for flash
flooding and subsequent river flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a
* flood advisory for
the Black River at Corning.
* Until Friday afternoon.
* At 7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 12.5 feet Sunday morning.
However, additional rainfall is expected through the weekend
which could push crests higher. Please monitor latest forecasts
for any updates. If crests expect are expected to go to flood stage
this flood advisory will be upgraded to a Flood Warning.
