The Flood Warning continues for
the S.F. Fork Forked Deer river near Halls
* from Saturday April 29 until further notice.
* At 8 PM Friday the stage was 8.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 12.0 feet Monday may 1.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Saturday April 29 and
continue to rise to near 12.0 feet by Monday may 1.
* At 12.5 feet... water is flowing over Highway 210 north of Halls.
Several low lying roads near the South Fork of the Forked Deer
river are flooded.

The National Weather Service in Memphis TN has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Mississippi River at Caruthersville
* from Tuesday may 02 until Saturday may 13.
* At 8 PM Friday the stage was... 28.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 36.5 feet Monday may 08.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday may 2 and continue
to rise to near 36.5 feet by Monday may 8.
At 37.0 feet, in Missouri, grounds at the casino at Caruthersville
are beginning to flood. Farmstead southeast of Cottonwood Point is
getting water on it. In Arkansas, the elevator near Huffman is
flooding. Much of Hickman Landing is covered. In Tennessee, Heloise
and the east leg of miss Kelly loop is flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect from Sunday morning through
Sunday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* a portion of west Tennessee, including the following areas,
Dyer, Lake, and Obion.

* From Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon.

* Periods of heavy rain are forecast, with rainfall of 2 to 3
inches possible in as little as an hour. Localized storm total
amounts up to 4 inches possible.

* Recent rainfall has saturated soils across the watch area. Any
additional heavy rainfall may result in the potential for
flash flooding and subsequent river flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
