... Lake Wind Advisory now in effect from 10 am this morning to
midnight CDT tonight...

* event... a tightening pressure gradient across the Southern
Plains will result in increasing southerly wind speeds today.


* Timing... sustained southerly wind speeds of 15 to 20 mph with
gusts nearing 30 mph will commence around 10 am this morning
across portions of northeast Texas. Remaining areas of the
region will see these increasing winds by late morning, with
these conditions persisting this evening into tonight.


* Impact... boaters should exercise caution on area lakes due to
rough chop conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
