... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 am CDT Friday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central Arkansas and Louisiana, including
the following areas, in south central Arkansas, Union. In
Louisiana, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Claiborne, De
Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches,
Ouachita, Red River, Sabine, Union, Webster, and Winn.

* Until 7 am CDT Friday

* scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms
associated with Tropical Depression Cindy will continue to
provide periods of locally heavy rainfall through early Friday
across Union County Arkansas and much of north Louisiana as the
center of circulation shifts northeast into southcentral
Arkansas. Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches is
expected across much of the watch area through Friday morning,
with isolated higher amounts in excess of five inches possible
mainly across portions of northcentral Louisiana.

* Flooding of roads, low lying and poor drainage areas will be
possible. If encountering flooded roadways, remember to turn
around, don't drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
