The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of North Carolina and upstate South Carolina,
including the following areas, in North Carolina, Avery,
Buncombe, Burke mountains, Caldwell mountains, Cleveland,
eastern McDowell, eastern Polk, Gaston, greater Burke, greater
Caldwell, greater Rutherford, Henderson, Lincoln, McDowell
Mountains, Mitchell, Polk mountains, Rutherford mountains,
Transylvania, and Yancey. In upstate South Carolina,
Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Chester, greater Greenville,
greater Pickens, Greenville mountains, Greenwood, Laurens,
Pickens mountains, Spartanburg, Union, and York.

* Until 8 PM EDT this evening

* localized heavy rain remains possible into this evening. On top
of saturated soils, lingering high water conditions, elevated
stream levels, flooding may redevelop.
