Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 4:04 AM EST Jan. 17, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am EST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued
a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 10 am EST this
morning.

* Locations... portions of the southern North Carolina Piedmont,
including the city of Charlotte. The eastern and southern
Piedmont of South Carolina.

* Visibility... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Impacts... limited visibilities will make travel very difficult,
including along I-77 through Charlotte and northern South
Carolina and along I-85 in the Charlotte area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
