Heat Advisory
Issued: 3:31 PM EDT Jul. 23, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory in effect from noon to 8 PM EDT Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a heat
advisory... which is in effect from noon to 8 PM EDT Sunday.

* Temperature... highs will be in the upper 90s.

* Impacts... the heat and humidity will make it feel close to 105
degrees on Sunday. Being in direct sunlight will make it feel
even hotter. This will lead to a greater risk of heat
illnesses... especially among vulnerable communities such as the
sick and elderly... those exerting themselves outdoors... and
those without air conditioning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures and high
humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
