The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
south central Jim Wells County in south central Texas...
western Kleberg County in south central Texas...
southwestern Nueces County in south central Texas...

* until 1245 am CST

* at 944 PM CST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to training
showers and thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream
flooding in the advisory area. Up to two and a half inches of rain
have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kingsville... Premont... Driscoll... Bishop... Kingsville Naval Air
Station... Ricardo... Riviera and La Gloria.

Additional rainfall of 1 inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain may cause minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 4 am CST
Sunday...

* coastal flooding... actual tide levels will run 2 feet above
mean sea level or more during high tide. High tide at bob Hall
pier is around 736 PM CST tonight... while high tide at Port
Aransas is at 745 PM tonight.

* Timing... this afternoon through early Sunday morning.

* Impacts... persistent water levels will likely reach the dunes
of coastal Nueces and Kleberg counties. Minor beach flooding
and minor erosion will continue to be possible. The ability to
drive along the beaches will range from limited to impossible.
Lowest areas of North Beach in Corpus Christi and along Laguna
shores drive in Flour Bluff may also be impacted.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
