Special Statement
Issued: 8:39 AM EST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Areas of fog this morning...

Areas of light rian, drizzle and fog continue across the region
this morning. Visibilities vary but generally range between one
half mile to two miles, with some locations under one half mile.

Given the mild and moist airmass, the fog will be slow to burn
off. Visibilities are expected to slowly improve over the next few
hours. However, another batch of steady rainfall is expected to
overspread southern Virginia and northeast North Carolina by
early afternoon.

Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due
to the areas of fog. Drive at reduced speeds, and use low beam
headlights only.
