... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Wednesday...

* locations... Hartford... Tolland... and Windham counties in
northern Connecticut. This includes the cities
of... Hartford... Windsor Locks... Union... Vernon... Putnam and
Willimantic.

* Hazard types... include snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with
around a trace of ice. However up to a tenth of an inch of ice
is possible across the higher elevations of northwest Hartford
County.

* Timing... this evening into early Wednesday.

* Impacts... wintry precipitation will likely result in hazardous
travel conditions on untreated roads... especially bridges...
and overpasses. Parking lots and sidewalks will become
slippery as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
