... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Wednesday...

* locations... southern Vermont... the Berkshires and Litchfield
County.

* Hazard types... freezing rain... snow and sleet.

* Total snow and sleet accumulations... up to 1 inch across the
Litchfield Hills and lower elevations in the Berkshires... with
2 to 6 inches across higher elevations of the Berkshires and
southern Green Mountains... as well as across eastern Windham
County Vermont.

* Total ice accumulations... up to a tenth of an inch with up to a
quarter of an inch possible across higher elevations.

* Timing... freezing rain... sleet and snow will continue into the
overnight.

* Impacts... snow and ice covered roadways will make for hazardous
travel. Untreated walkways... driveways and sidewalks will be
very slippery. Isolated to scattered power outages are possible.

* Winds... east 5 to 15 mph with some gusts up to around 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

to 7 PM EST Wednesday...

* winds and seas... northeast winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to
25 kt. Seas 1 to 3 feet.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
